We should stay healthy, vibrant, full of energy and imagination, and await the spare time that getting older allows us to have. No kids around to distract you, no reason not to be able to concentrate on youthing, your way back to a tremendous second childhood when you hit your 50-70 years where the freedom to become the best you ever is available. How many people use it to get more youthful instead of sitting on the couch and getting lazier and fatter than ever before? That is not only self-destructive behavior taken on by millions in their ignorance and brainwashing to believe that you have to act and look like an old, weak person after your 60s arrive. I call BS out loud and will share some of the tricks I have found to reduce and eliminate pains from the years of living and sometimes damaging this vessel of life that our spirit resides in for a lifetime on the planet.
Arthritis in the hands and knees, even my elbows, was setting in when I got to about 59, and I found myself not being able to crouch for long in what is considered an Asian Squat. My knees were stiff, and I needed to grab onto something to help stand up if I stayed crouched down for very long, and then my knees hurt, ached, which I was told was just part of aging, and to get used to it. Not true. I learned that natural spices like Tumeric reduce pain naturally, and I started supplementing with it, adding the spice to my food daily. It took a minimal adjustment to the taste buds, but otherwise, there was no harmful side effect or taste to contend with, and lo and behold, my pain levels went down. I have taken turmeric for over ten years and swear by it daily. You can even get candy-like chewy that has lots of turmeric in it and works great.
The next thing was much more dangerous to take in the past but has gotten to be safe, as in you will not go to jail now for using THC to help reduce pain, too. Yes, while it is still technically illegal, a matchbox of marijuana will no longer get you ten years in Texas prisons as it did when I arrived in Texas in 1984. Times past were dangerous for those who wanted to treat their pain, PTSD, or depression with pot; the substance that was equated with kids going crazy and killing while high in the 70s turned out to be full of medicinal properties and is now nearly legal on a national basis for good reasons. It works for many of us to eliminate pain. Due to my having broken my back at 2 1/2 and living with scoliosis for 50 years, the pain was a standard part of my daily life, sometimes even causing my leg to go numb, requiring a cane to walk, and even being bed-ridden for days when I would injure it while picking up something as light as the lawnmower I would load into the truck. Smoking THC releases its anti-inflammatory properties into the body within minutes and reduces the ache in the lower back to nothing in ten or fifteen minutes, which is far better than taking Opiates to ease the pain. Many people have broken their opioid addictions using THC and CBDs as alternatives, and I recommend them for pain relief and control.
Next would be the surprise for many. Getting exercise causes the body to produce its anti-inflammatory agents and stem cells from the muscles as you work them by lifting weights, calisthenics, and other forms of flushing the body with blood as the heart pumps extra blood and the swelling of the muscles releases all sorts of beneficial goodies into the blood that you would have to pay for in pill form otherwise. Still, the outcome is better, for it is natural. The body has painkillers and fresh stem cells to regenerate tissue, rebuild your body, and allow you to effectively turn back the time clock on the way you feel. You will be in less pain, have more energy, and want to do more once you start exercising daily… a little bit to start, and once you see the benefits, you will naturally be inclined to do much more. The more youthful and energetic you feel, the less pain you suffer from sitting idle too much, and you will be sold on doing more rather than less as you age, for the benefits are tremendous.
Next is a simple thing that involves using your willpower to stop watching TV and being on the computer until late night hours due to the Blue Light coming from your monitors, TV, LED lighting, and thus destroying your connections with the sun, the power of the sunlight on your skin and eyes is amazingly curative for many problems, including pain. The real issue is your mind; your body needs rest in the dark hours and sunshine on your skin during the sunny part of the day. Do you intentionally expose your skin to the morning and evening sun as much as possible? If so, you can release melatonin into the body and the mitochondria, enabling your immune system to flourish, your body to rebuild, your sleep to be better, and your skin to grow. Yes, synching up with the sun, sleeping early, and waking as close to sunrise as possible are healthy. If possible, as the sun is rising and setting, without sunglasses, in the last 7-10 minutes, you can look directly at the sun without any threat of damage to the eyes, and it will help to recharge your body, mind, and Spirit. Some religions pray at sunrise and sunset, expose their chest to the sun, and honor it as the source of life, of God's thought penetrating them and healing them daily with its light.
Finally, reducing stress by meditating, walking in the woods, grounding with leather, or being barefoot on wet grass will reduce inflammation and pain. The Earthing process, lying on the ground, sitting on a mound, or leaning against a tree, will make your body calmer and reduce the tension in the muscles and organs, too, so as to calm the body. It is essential to ground daily, or you cannot regenerate damaged tissues. This is not a wive’s tale but scientifically proven now. The body needs to ground like a car battery or any other battery. The connection to a solid ground is necessary for it to operate at 100% efficiency. This is harder if you live in a concrete-laden city with asphalt instead of Earth around most areas of the town; fresh, moist grass and earth can be hard to find in the middle of the city, and often, the dogs have seen it first. It is full of crap, literally, which is not good to stand on with bare feet, nor anywhere that feces is left on the ground as you could pick up parasites, yes, worm larvae, into your body through any cuts on your feet. So, leather on the feet is better than bare feet in many cases where you can not be sure that the ground is not a regular bathroom for critters.
If you practice these things—diet, exercise, and taking time to ground, rest the mind, and get your sleep following the cycles of the sun above to be awake and asleep while dark—you will honor the Sun for all its benefits. It will make you healthier in return for your respect. Please consider using methods that do not tap big Pharma to solve your problems.
One bonus that works excellent on night cramps and helps keep you energized during the days is to remember to get a half teaspoon of Himalayan salt and Redmond salt, but not table salt, daily. I will increase your energy levels and help reduce cramping at night in the legs, as well as the restless leg syndrome I have dealt with for most of my adult life until learning this. The other thing for cramping will be to get a big bottle of pickle juice and drink a few big gulps daily. It will make a fantastic difference in how much your legs or other muscles cramp less with nothing but that added to your body, and it works in minutes. I can wake up with cramps, take a drink, and slosh it around in my mouth, instant relief so I can get back into bed and fall right back into a deep sleep fast.

My conclusion is that all "modern illnesses" have been the results of new chemicals/radiation introduced no later than 1961.
