Tiny organic sustainable living does not mean Trailer Trash living like some seem to think but a jewelry box home that few ever see is just one proof made by Mii.

Would you believe this all-wood, custom-designed and built Tiny Texas Houses example known as the Monty Grand Victorian or the Full Monty, was built and sold for $130,000, delivered and set up on the site 25 miles from where it was built?

This is a story of a house built for a dream that never was lived in by the beautiful lady patron to my House Art and indeed, she painted all the fixtures, decorated as you see, but never lived a single day within this house to be the dream she thought would come from our creativity. Beautiful house, great journey, sad ending… as life sometimes goes. The story of the Monty Grand Victorian is precisely one of those.

Labor was half what it is now, but I would never hire employees of today's mentality nor suffer the taxes and burden of the Federal government to run a business with 19 employees or more again. That is the definition of insanity in today's world. NO one would loan on these houses nor support them once they learned the big box stores and global manufacturers could not make millions from this path to sustainable import and toxin-free living.

Alas, mothballed, the time for such a Renaissance was in the future. Soon that time will unfold, and necessity will force people to rethink building houses in America, energy costs, imports, healthy living, and raising the few kids that can be born in a world that is losing its fertility fast. Thus do wii watch and wonder why more have not created houses such as these once it was proven it could be done with 95% Pure Salvage wood, hardware, glass, and nearly all you need to create energy efficiency that no one else can match, because you do not cut trees, make hardware, or glass. Carbon saved as a contrast to new homes makes them 1,000 % more efficient, long-lasting, and healthy... but not entirely free. Human energy and imagination are required. Hard to find that part it seems.

This beautiful home was crafted to be the place for a granddaughter and Grandma to be, to play and to share as she grew up to be a sweet little lady, but that did not come to be.
From the paintings on lighting to the decor on the walls, the owner helped paint it, create something small that she could share and give to a child one day, but the changes that followed instead brought dismay.
