How do we help the veterans who made it home?
As a veteran from the Vietnam era I can attest we have not figured this out... but there is a plan to help that no one paid attention to. Now?
This was the view of what became Salvage, Tx. in 2012. Nearly a decade later it has become many things, but not inhabited and created with the planned visions of many coming together, but what one person could do to make a dream into a place, to sculpt the Earth to grow food, to have ponds where there were none, life all about in a symphony of songs and synchronicities necessary for permaculture and peaceful living to exist. A healthy solution to what is an industrial landfill once nearly forgotten except for its toxicity and drainage into the San Marcos River just an eighth of a mile away. Solutions to the worst problems can become the paradises and examples of what is possible with good stewardship, to fix the problems our ancestors created and use the treasures of salvaged materials to create a sustainable alternative for the next round.
