Meet "Miss Lilly". In a world of custom organic cottages created to display what could be done: each has a name.
TV made Toxic Hoaxes on Wheels (THOWs) a fad as they cranked them out in single episodes to show how fast & cheap they could be built. UGH! The opposite was organic import & toxin-Free by Mii.
Miss Lily started as a few different houses on the family homestead a hundred years ago. She has the flooring, siding, and bones of homes long gone now. Wii added style and stained glass, a class they did not have, to create an heirloom house for the family that lives on. Grandma Lilly was a Texas Woman, a star in the days long past when the women were as tough as nails and ran the ranches well. Just like Miss Lilly, there is only one, not a model copied many times but a unique and memorable soul.
The house with its accessory to house the well and thus create a home for the kids to come and know more of their past as well as having an Art House custom crafted that will last. Some might want to use new wood to form a house or two, but I find it much more satisfying to create Art for you. Houses do not need to be so plain and square or have so very much wasted space at too much cost.
I hope these inspire you to try adding charm when you build a home or a tiny house to live in and one for your spouse. A house for each child as they grow that they can take when they choose to go. What could you do instead of trash the homes of the past in light of costs to match the quality of resources you no longer see.
Thanks for sharing, and caring too. Help me talk more kids into building such sustainable toxin-free, no imports, but the best is how they can also be an example of energy efficiency. So if you choose to downsize soon, please consider salvage as you use the parts to build your last dream home or one to take if you should roam. Keep it tiny, organic, and nearly free by using more human energy.
