Selecting Salvaged Corrugated roofing for decorating walls and ceilings. Part 1
What are some of the reasons to use salvaged roofing metal for many projects besides just roofing? Join me for an examination of corrugated examples.
I need to fill an order for a restaurant to use for walls or ceilings as they decorate in a style I love. Many eating places used the Papadeaux, and others in Texas used salvaged wood for high-end dining room decor, which helped make this the hot and fun way to decorate homes now, too. Interestingly enough, it can be cheaper than buying, and it has an inferior thickness and look of older roofing tin, as shown in the videos. This can be used outside for walls even if it has been on roofs in their past life. It can be as little as 50 cents to a dollar a square foot, cheaper than a Hardi-plank, which won’t take the hits, hardballs, or the bat, and not crack or tear, be ruined like Hardiplank or particle board sidings.
Consider this little lesson, along with the second video, a guide to how to sort and what to look for. If you like and share, I will continue to make more info videos, short and sweet, to tell you about many other architectural antiques and salvaged materials you can use to decorate and build houses for less than the big box store materials.
I need fencing materials, wood and metal. My animal corral is going up and I want something substantial as we have every type of predator roaming our property.
The game cameras bear this out.
Is it worth my drive to salvage Texas?
I need to reroof my house as I bought barn tin in 2008 and it’s starting to rust.
Only guaranteed 15 years.
Also need metal gates and chain long fence and electric shock wire ( that’s cheap at tractor supply )
I'm glad you are making these videos. There is so much to learn on how to choose pieces. Thank you.
